The University of Birmingham, located in Birmingham, England, was established in 1900 and has since been leading the way in research and education in the fields of gene structure, medicine, space research and communications. The University currently has over 26,000 students from the UK and around the world. It operates out of two campuses: the Edgbaston Campus and Selly Oak campus. The academic departments cover a wide range of subjects that are arranged into 8 areas.
